Care of All Cloud & UltraSoft Products

With proper care, your plastic pants can last a long time. If you want to get the most life from vinyl pants, use care when wearing or washing them. Avoid tugging excessively hard on the elastic waist when putting them on. Please be gentle for maximum wear. Caution: Contact with any lotion, salve, cream, or ointments that are petroleum based will dramatically shorten the useable life of plastic. Oils and lubricants deemed safe for contact with rubber or latex may be used if desired. Water based personal lubricants also should not affect your pants.

Washing Driwear Plastic/Vinyl Pants

Never ever use detergent of any kind to wash plastic pants. Always use SOAP. Detergent is made from soap, but it also contains degreasers that may strip out the softening agents mixed into the plastic during manufacturing. Soap will not harm plastic. An easy way to make sure you never use detergent on your plastic pants is to use only a soap that you would use to wash your face. Any bar soap or liquid brand is fine, as well as anti-bacterial soap.

Drying Driwear Plastic/Vinyl Pants

We suggest you always "air dry" our plastic indoors. Most plastic pants will dry overnight. To assure faster drying, use paper towels to absorb as much water as possible from the elastic and then air dry on a rack or indoor clothesline. Avoid heat sources such as radiators or stoves and never put plastic pants in the dryer with heat. This could result in the plastic possibly melting, or cause a fire. The service life of the pants would be severely reduced.

Care of UltraFlex Products

Pants and mattress covers made with UltraFlex are not made from plastic or vinyl. These products are made with a space age material called polyurethane. If you want more technical information, click this link: http://www.sdplastics.com/polyuret.html Polyurethane is a unique material that offers the elasticity of rubber combined with toughness and durability, yet it is buttery soft, smooth and lighter in weight than vinyl. UltraFlex is cooler to wear than plastic. And it is very easy to care for.

Washing UltraFlex Polyurethane Products

UltraFlex is not harmed by detergents but we suggest you use a mild soap for best results. We suggest you hand wash and hang dry these products as you would ordinary plastic pants. Some washing machines may put strain on the stitching of the elastic so hand washing is preferred.
